I have my moments when my bedroom needs organizing, bathroom needs cleaning, two client meetings scheduled back to back, dryer is finished drying, car needs vacuuming, hair needs washing, and, oh yeah... did I post to social media today?
When the anxiety of overwhelm approaches, I have to consciously decide to calm down. It's not a proper yoga/meditation moment for me because my anxiety doesn't allow for a quality session at that time. The remedy, you ask? I need to color myself calm! Art therapy is my favorite companion in those moments we all experience, and so, I keep an adult coloring book with markers handy in my purse. Don't judge me. :) I highly recommend it.
